- You need 2 bunch of fresh spinach thoroughly cleaned.
- Prepare 2 cup of crumbled feta cheese.

- It's 2 stick of melted butter.
- It's 1 of black pepper.

Spanakopita step by step
- preheat oven to 350.
- heat saute pan.
- saute onions until translucent.
- add spinach, and garlic.
- when spinach is properly cooked remove pan from heat to cool.
- when spinach is warm (not hot) add feta cheese.
- butter your pastry area.
- place layers of phylo dough brushing each layer of dough with melted butter in between.
- repeat last step 8 times.
- cut dough into quarters.
- place approximately 4oz of spinach mixture in to the phylo quarters.
- wrap each quarter into triangles being very careful not to tear the dough, brush with additional butter when necessary.
- place triangles on cookie sheet, coat lightly with egg wash.
- bake until golden.
